FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry held its annual inaugural alumni homecoming dinner. The dinner was held to establish the FMHCM&D Alumni Association of the College which was established at the turn of the millennium.
The annual homecoming dinner was held for all previous batches i.e. 2005 – 2014 who have graduated to become doctors in the field of medicine and dentistry and playing a positive role in society. This event was organized to connect the alumni with their parent institutions and with each other; to give them the opportunity to share their memories and their future plans. The FMHCM&D Alumni Association hopes to provide a platform to reconnect FMHCM&D Alumni with their fellows, faculty and the current students.
The ceremony began with the National Anthem, followed by the recitation of Holy Quran and the Asma-ul-Husna 99 Names of ALLAH recited by the FMH Music Society. This was followed by a welcome note by Prof. Jamshed Nasir and Prof. Nazia Yazdanie, acting principal FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry and principal FMH College of Dentistry respectively. Mrs. Shahima Rehman, Chairperson Executive Committee of FMS delivered the keynote speech.
This presentation of the Alumni Framework, introduction of the Alumni Provisional Board and cake cutting ceremony took place. A tribute to the late Principal, Prof. Humayun Maqsood along with a montage of videos titled “Revive old Memories” for each batch was showcased.
The event ended with a performance by the FMH Music Society which featured live singing by the current students of FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry.
